Are you a current practitioner or practitioner in training who is interested in furthering your understanding of Pre and Postnatal yoga?
Are you a yoga teacher or teacher in training who would like to feel more comfortable when pre/postnatal mothers enter your classroom?
Are you interested in creating safe and dynamic classes for prenatal Momma’s?
This course is designed for those who already have an understanding of/or are currently learning more regarding the physical body, alignment based practices, and safe yoga asana.
Throughout this training weekend with Sandie we will delve more deeply into: ~Understanding the physical body through all stages of pregnancy.
~Understanding the emotional and mental changes that can occur in pregnancy and beyond.
~Adapting Asana (Yoga Postures)
~Modification and prop usage
~Pranayama (Breath work)
~Compassionate touch/adjustments
~Cautions and Contraindications
~Benefits of a yoga practice for pregnancy and birth
~Mindfulness, Meditation and Visualization
~Understanding the Postnatal body
~Safe Practices
~Business Practices
~Various Yoga sequences, and techniques for different styles of classes.
This class will meet:
Saturday April 8th 12-5pm
Sunday April 9th 12-630pm
Certification of Completion provided upon completion.
A written test will be required to earn certification.
Early Bird Fee if Paid Before March 18th $349.00+HST
After March 18th – $390.00+HST
Please note that class space is limited and Registration is required.
